HIPL's mission is to provide cost effective IT solutions through a globally sourced and motivated workforce. With this motive HIPL has adopted the model of Offshore Software Development & Management, by successfully executing projects over the last few years. This model is essentially an evolving set of processes and tools that emphasize on addressing risks associated with global delivery models and achieving client satisfaction through prevention of problems. HIPL-SDM covers lifecycle methodologies such as Waterfall, Spiral, and Incremental etc. and provides guidance on the applicability of a model for a particular project based on the best practices.
The processes also ensure on extensive usage of tools and techniques (e.g. Rational Rose, SSAD/OOAD/UML, KnowledgePlan, IDE, Configuration Management etc.) during an entire project lifecycle. HIPL is flexible in its approach to business keeping clients' business priorities in mind. HIPL has delivered projects as small as 100 Person Days to projects as large as 15000 Person Days. The projects are usually executed on a Fixed Price basis (FP) or Time and Materials (T&M) basis or a combination of both. HIPL's experience has shown that up to 75% - 80% of a project's deliverables can be produced at its offshore facilities in Delhi. The figure below gives an indicative approach for a typical software development project. HIPL can suggest the best suitable model depending on customer requirements and in cases where customersare new to outsourcing, a PILOT project will be suggested to help understand and familiarize with HIPL's Offshore Delivery model. Typically the duration of a PILOT project will be not more than 2-3 calendar months. HIPL Software Project Management provides a consistent set of steps for the Startup, Planning, Execution, and Completion of any project. Our Project Management methodology is designed to easily embrace any life cycle so work is consistently performed. Our Project Management and System Life Cycles add consistency, control, and quality to any project.
